The eight-hour course also addresses how integrating machine safeguarding early in the machine design process can be beneficial to a company’s bottom line. Topics covered include current safety standards, hazard and risk assessment, integration of safety devices, lockout/tagout, and pneumatic and electrical components. The Total Machine Safety courses are eligible for 0.7 CEU (Continuing Education Units) or 7 PDH (Professional Development Hour) credits. Course cost is $495, and $350 for every additional registrant from the same organization. Upcoming 2009 dates include May 12 in Philadelphia, and June 16 in Atlanta.
