I/O Extensions Expand Flexibility

Two extensions to the vendor’s I/O line provide expanded automation flexibility. The scaleable and modular Inline I/O system is now available with a SERCOS interface to provide single-bus architecture for an entire control system.

This single-bus structure provides a cost-effective, open motion/logic solution for automated machines, without compromising machine speed or flexibility. Also, the vendor’s Fieldline I/O now offers IP67 protection, which makes it suitable for harsh environments. Users can employ the Fieldline I/O units to bring I/O peripherals close to the sensors and actuators on machines to reducing wiring costs and installation time.
